Description of XXX Group

(This is a text I translated from Polish to English.)

XXX Group produces more than 30 beer brands. Under the policy of portfolio management, the company has identified key beer brands with a crucial importance for sales growth. Three brands were considered as strategic products nationwide: [*]. Whereas, other brands, such as [*] were categorized as regional brands. XXX Group establishes its promotional campaign and distribution strategy for products based on the portfolio constructed in this manner. Other beer brands produced by the group play an important complementary role in the national and regional brand strategy. A characteristic feature of the Polish beer market is that the market is not uniform, but consists of many different local markets. Therefore it is essential for the group to offer flexible solutions, depending on the needs and preferences reported in the region. Additional benefits are also brought by achieving critical mass in distribution and the opportunity to have a more complete offer to wholesale customers, complementing the range of major brands with local beers.

Beer produced by XXX Group is packaged in 0.5 and 0.33 l bottles, 0.5 and 0.33 l cans and KEG barrels with a capacity of 30 or 50 l. Glass containers are offered in two versions: recyclable and disposable. Cans and non-returnable bottles are also packaged in so-called multi-packs, containing 4, 6 or 9 packaging units. In the second quarter of 2000, XXX Group began implementing new returnable glass containers with a 0.5 liters capacity for all major types of beer produced in breweries belonging to the group.

Thanks to their products’ high quality and exceptional taste, XXX Group has won various awards in many competitions and exhibitions. The most prestigious awards for the group are [*]. Production of such a high quality beer in XXX’s breweries is facilitated by rich tradition, with a recipe that is more than a century old combined with modern production facilities. In addition, the quality of beer and raw materials from which beer is brewed are supervised by the research laboratory. XXX Group also receives support for R&D from the parent company which participates in the development of new products, packaging and introduction of new technologies and systems. Implementing a policy of quality control, the company makes sure that quality management procedures are followed at all levels of the logistics system: with suppliers, breweries and also distribution. As part of these activities, audits and ratings of suppliers and standardization of documents are performed, in addition to complying with quality management systems such as ISO 9002 and the quality systems that are used in companies belonging to the XXX Group.
